the little hairs

Since i've been shaving my head on a regular basis, i have taken to using the razor more frequently before. However, this hasn't led to me changing the blade more frequently.

this equals pain.

Imagine with me, someone getting a pair of tweezers and plucking the entirety of the hairs on your upper lip slowly and painfully. Because, in essence, this is what happens when you don't change the blade frequently. It is in no way a pleasant experience, but not quite as painful as paying $12 for 4 new blades.

I've made a graph to illustrate my point.

You see, while i perceive the pain to my wallet more acutely at the beginning, as the pain to my face increases from a duller and duller blade, I become less sensitive to pain in the wallet. However, only when it reaches the "critical point" and my face can no longer take it do i plunge my hands into the depths of my wallet to buy razor blades.

of such is the state of my face.

debates

It's funny how my life is actually turning out to be about craig hazen and the biola apologetics department. Here i was messing around last two weeks about everything, and it turns out i helped out at a debate tonight put on by craig hazen and the biola apologetics department.

topic- a debate between a muslim and a christian about whether the new testament is inspired by God or not.

speakers-
James White, wannabe bodybuilder and general baddass, debates everything under the sun, and then debated the sun when he couldn't find anybody else.
Shabir Ally, sweet beard, laid back, a good speaker in general. A "celebrity" among muslim debaters.

Over all, a good debate. Good moderator, good speakers, good dialogue. Although it seemed like they were speaking past each other a good portion of the time, and James White wasn't really adressing the topic, it was much better than i hoped. My experience with biola 'dialogues' between muslims and christians isn't all that great, the last one ending with christians asking questions about muhammad's 'manhood' and such. Their was not an open mic tonight (thank God), but three of the four questions were still stupid. Most people are simply unable to address the proposed topic of the debate during the q & a portion of the night. No 'manhood' questions, but someone did manage to reference a non-existent bible verse. Biola teaches us well.

And i get a free CD just for helping out.

score.
